Taking you from concept to completion
As a builder, I recognize the importance of a solid foundation. As your builder, my primary focus is making sure we're on the same page long before it's time to call in the cement truck. So yes, I build homes, but first I build relationships.
Local for more than 20 years
I've always loved New Hampshire's lakes region. As I child, I visited Wolfeboro in the summer with my parents. In 1997, I moved here with my family and founded Rourke Builders. Since then, I've developed five subdivisions and built 20 waterfront homes. When you’ve been building in the same area for as long as I have, you become part of the community’s growth. Since I work, live and have raised my children here, I connect with the wants and needs of people who also want to experience the lakes region lifestyle that I have been blessed to enjoy.
75 homes and counting
Whether you're building your first home or your fifth, you know there's a likelihood of stressful moments in your future. I can't predict every trigger, but I can mitigate most of them. I've worked in this industry for my entire professional career and have had my real estate license in NH and MA for almost 30 years. I am personally available to you during the entirety of the process and beyond to ensure your satisfaction.
More than a homebuilder, I work with you as a lifestyle builder, blending my brand of construction with the finest points of nature. With a skilled team of craftsmen, I help you create your dream living environment to enhance a New Hampshire lifestyle.
Wolfeboro: America's Oldest Resort Town
Wolfeboro is known as America’s Oldest Summer Resort. The quintessential New England town of just over 6,200 year-round residents is an enchanting mix of lakefront town-meets-arts-colony, with a potpourri of choices of restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, art galleries featuring local artists, ice cream shops and the famous Town Docks on the shore of “The Big Lake,” Lake Winnipesaukee. The courtesy docks are also port to the S/S Mt. Washington, Winni Belle, and U.S. mailboat Sophie C for tours and special events; and New Hampshire Boat Museum’s vintage lake boat Millie B.
Free concerts during the summer season at Wolfeboro’s scenic Cate Park brings residents, families and visitors to enjoy a variety of performances in the gazebo by the lake.
Wolfeboro features several public beaches on Lake Winnipesaukee, and on nearby Lake Wentworth. Boating, sailing, paddle boarding, fishing and even scuba diving are popular activities. Boat rentals, paddleboard rentals and lessons are available at marinas in town.
The old railroad line from Wolfeboro’s renovated train station is quite popular; Cotton Valley Trail is a 14-mile recreation path used by bicyclists, joggers, walkers and runners. The Abenaki Ski Area, established in 1936, is the oldest small ski resort in America. It is community-owned and features downhill and cross-country ski programs and events and hiking trails after the snow is gone. Culture buffs have options that include volunteering at the Wright Museum—a moving tribute to World War II veterans—or pitching in at New Hampshire Boat Museum’s vintage-vessel regatta.
Children and grownups alike enjoy the natural history exhibits and programs at The Libby Museum founded by Dr. Henry Libby more than 100 years ago.
Community theatre, Great Waters Music Festival concerts, the community-owned Nick recreation and sports area and so much more bring visitors back to Wolfeboro year after year.
Residents are thrilled to have all the benefits of a vacation destination right in their back yards – which means when you have your Wolfeboro home – expect family and friends to plan their visits here! And why not?
